whatever happened to all my single friends?? i look around... most of my friends are either attached, married or dating someone... i find it more and more difficult to ask people out... replies i get "i can't..i got dinner with my girlfriend tonight" , "i can't.. i'm gonna catch a movie with my boyfriend" , "i can't..i've been out past 2 days and my wife's unhappy." ... of course i have single friends ..but looks like they've got other agenda like staying home. And when the couple friends decide to go out...they tend to ask the other couples out... like if they plan a roadtrip to malaysia... all couples... then whats the point of me one single joining them? oh well... best part. i've got 2 more weddings to attend this year after already attending one.. and my distant cousin's getting married next march... more couples getting together..nice... dont get me wrong... i've nothing against couples...just wondering where are my single friends?

was talking to a friend earlier and i thought of this... how many people out there who are in relationships, are actually happy? are they still in the relationship simply because they've been seeing the same person for years? or simply because of obligation? or simply because of selfish reasons like, there's someone there to look after me? how many of you guys out there are actually happy? i hope to know that all my friends are happy with the person they're married with, in a r/ship with or they're dating... as for the friend i was talking to earlier,she knows what she wants and i hope for her to be happy...

guessed i have reached the age where i cannot expect my friends to be there for me all the time....poeple have moved on to other priorities in life....

i'm happy... not generally happy in my life but im happy these 2 days... one of my long time buddies is back from bangkok for a few days (hes being sent by his company to work there) and we get to malebond again... of course with his girlfriend around... so much for full on malebonding.... and another friend..this one must mention, my feloow hougang gang member...is heading back to singapore shores for a couple of weeks... im definitely looking forward to her return.... better prepare the wanton mee that she ordered....

went to a small pub earlier with a few friends... had real CHEAP beer but EXPENSIVE fried rice... and they were dishing out tunes like, "love of a lifetime" by firehouse, "plush" by stone temple pilots (one of my all-time fav songs), "everything you want" by vertical horizon etc... and it sort of transported us back to our sec school days when Perfect 10 would be playing all these stuff and jocks like Bernard Ong, Dahlia Z, Aloysious Tan, Florence Lian and this particular one that i totally dislike, Emmanuel Bangaro .... ( he sucks BIG TIME) ruling the radio air then ....

got home, was on msn ... the newly-found korean friend and i were having a conversation and then she asked me to accept her webcam request, which i did...good to see her smile when i talked to her...then she showed me her nails... and told me that A got her nail polish.... when i left them alone for their dinner... nicely done there... Anyway its ice cold beer's birthday!! hapr birthday !! if you guys are gonna ask me, nope, i wasnt there at the party...

met a korean chick today... shes attractive ... met her through A. A's in town for 2 days and he met her while he was on a SQ flight to Korea. yes you've guessed it, shes an SQ girl..but nothing like the typical SQ girl...shes very very nice... and lives in Singapore... I was about to leave A n the korean girl alone when she decides to drag me along for coffee....

Coffee was good...conversations bout korea n singapore flew here n there... apparently she doesnt have a good impression of singaporeans so i was there trying to change her perspective of singaporeans... told her that she should make more non-SQ singaporean friends..that would definitely help. heh. i was beginning to find her very interesting and something made me wanna know her more when suddenly, i received a message... "hey i'm gonna take her out for dinner later k?" that came from A. what could i reply excpet "ok" ... after all..he knew her first... he asked her out... so when she went to the ladies, i asked him if hes interested... he simply said she was a nice girl and even encouraged me to get her number!! (which of course i did, on the pretext of taking her out for chilli crabs someday) then as we were about to leave the coffee place... she asked if i was joining them for dinner...i had to answer her "no... sorry..im dressed too slack.. " what a cock excuse right? of course i wanted to have dinner with them..but i had to come up with some stoooooooooopid excuse....

original plan : to have drinks together after their dinner....
so i mesged her to say that it was nice meeting her and that we should do drinks after the dinner... she replied saying "of course!! see you later k?" then the hours passed...during this time, i hooked up with an old friend and we had bottles of tiger at newton... then came a message from A ...it read "hey i wanna get 2 know her better so i wont be asking you out tonight" ... i replied " i guessed as much...have fun.." then after one last gulp of iced cold beer, i headed on home... thinking..."darn..korean chick...with A... die..." if it was any consolation, i've got her number....

NKF Show

Caught glimpses of the NKF charity show earlier and something irked me... you know how the artistes will get the public to call actively after their act/stunt ... heres what happened... Pan Lingling and her husband, Huang Shinan had to leap through hoops of fire... and tthen blah blah blah... after their stunts... both were perspiring buckets due to the immense heat coming from the hoops...and the host went on to say in chinese "Are you guys ok? we can see from the replay that you guys were slightly burnt from the fire!!" They went on to reply "Yes we were slightly hurt but this pain is nothing comapred to the pain the kidney patients are suffering from... please call 1900 ..blah blah blah... " Why do artistes have to use the same line year in year out? Its getting a lil too cliche... and in my perspective, irritating.

Anyway, I dont know how many percent of the donations go to helping the kidney patients... i have my doubts.. remmeber in the papers, it was told that the top three income earners in NKF refused to reveal their income... look at the building itself...how beautiful it is, compared to the other humble organisations like singapore cancer society etc... well this is my own perspective... do not get me wrong... i totally believe that support and help is indeed needed and important but this whole charity show thing might just be another money-spinning vehicle. Surely people can help in other ways besides only "sincerely" donating once a year when artistes have to be moved to tears (crocodile tears? since they're all actors...) and encouraging the public to make donation calls... And why are they able to give away condominiums n cars and so many prizes when all the money paid to get these gifts can be nicely generated towards helping the kidney patients?

for all those who have called and donated, good on you! If you were to ask me, no..i did not call and donate..not even once on the NKF show. gee i sound like a complaint king...what irked me was simply what artistes say during these shows...

Just got home from ice cold beer... was with L n M... it was one of the best evenings i've had in a while... We talked bout a lot of stuff before i bumped into an old friend..lets call him Yoda.. (no he doesnt look anything like yoda) Yoda's an old friend who's a policeman now.. he..my goodness..he ma man! He's the one who started calling me "Bra" ..and that name has stuck with me since...was good seeing him and we were checking this girl in white out, lets call her Ms Boobies, for obvious reasons. Cute + nice jugs... lovely...no..we, being typical singaporean men (not as typical as my previous post) didnt get to know her...

back to my conversation with L n M... M asked us what do we not like in a girl.. i told her I dont like girls wearing platforms, transparent bra straaps or that fish line thingie... eeeew.... i also prefer a girl who knows her music...someone who knows her U2 from her Oasis and Fountains Of Wayne... L began to talk bout character..bout how its better if shes able to hang out with his friends..of course the ladies out there would also prefer their boys to hang out with her friends as well...well not just hanging out..but to participate in conversations and making effort to really know them.... then we continued from our mundane conversation to the next topic...S-E-X..woohoo! finally! what took you people sooooooooo long?!?!? think we dived in straight into oral sex ...( er ..not 3 of us performing the act but rather talking bout it..) we were talking bout how some girls/guys do not enjoy oral sex in terms of giving... and M was saying that most women fake orgasms just simply because they feel bad towards the guy...come on ladies!! dont fake it!! tell the guy that you've not reached where you'll like to... be straightforward...then guide the guy... Its sunday night.. 930PM and im yawning non-stop!! I'm sleepy.. a lot of people will then say" go sleep lah!" i dont want to...why? simp[ly because if i sleep now... i'll be awake at 6am.. and i seriously dont wanna be up at that time of the day! but fortunately, a friend of mine who's getting married in two weeks' time just asked me out for coffee and at the same time, hand invitation cards to friends... i so need a coffee... somehow the coffee that i got at home..think it belongs to my mum, is always sour...eeks... need a power coffeeshop coffee...and a couple of smokes..peeeerfect.... coffee is still an hour away... :(

just got back from a quick smoke with a neighbour... saw her online earlier..then thought i have not talked to her in a while then asked her out for a smoke and some catching up...we found ourselves a concrete slab outside someone's house and sat there... one fag became two then three then too many... we had fun talking smokeing and drinking green tea until the owner of the house came back and we had to leave... owner must be thinking.."what the fuck?! my house playground ah?"

was just thinking how nice it would be if i have more friends who live really close to me..then we can come out for smokes outside some stranger's house and chat away... how people? wanna move to my hood? this neighbour of mine lives pretty close... so people like Jiabin doesnt count..cause by the time i walk to his place or he to mine ...already sian ½... heh

have we reached an age whereby our livestyles are dependant of gadgets of technology? Do you grumble like mad when your air con breaks down on you and lets you sleep on a sweat drenched bed? Do you curse and swear when your pc/mac dies on you and you can't surf your favourite porn sites and can't input blog entries?

I admit I'm reliant on at least one appliance...the TV. The ONE tube that brings you all entertainment, bad news happening all around the world, all the games you can emerge yourselves in when connected to your ps2, x-box and what have you... my TV died on me..coincidentally on the same day as the Pope. I have already cursed and swore when i found out of its passing. No more ESPN, no more WWE, no more ch8 dramas (the 9pm show..NKF one..i happen to think the taiwanese chick's hot), no Desperate Houswives which is being telecast in another 45 mins' time, no Stripperella! This is a catasrophe.its been less than 5 months since the same tv kinda died on me... somehow it kinda makes staying home more unbearable... i've been doing a good job vegetating at home when i have nonsense to watch on tv... the past two days...its only the computer and the dining table... today's weather's cool... napped a bit in the afternoon... anyone got lobang for cheap tv? and once i embark on my new job, i shall take over the SCV bills... then i can have say over what channels i wanna add or rather i can have the channels that i should have had a long time ago... like AXN, StarWorld, Eng MTV.... Nickoledeon also want...
