Legends...

I know its been two days already and i should have posted this up then.. but hey, its never too late! Cause the Reds of Merseyside have already been immortalised as legends.... forever!

Yes!, Liverpool beat AC Milan 3-2 on penalties after drawing 3-3,in a pulsating match. I went to Pennyblack to catch the game, and boy was the atmosphere electrifying!! (Soyabean Tim, you should try going there to watch a liverpool game...)

1st half : Milan scored after 50 seconds... that dampened a few spirits but we were not not gonna give up! we sang n sang n sang... some of us even jeered Milan ... " A C Mi-lan jiao!! " (eh, simi lan jiao!!) then the 2nd goal...and the 3rd... before the break came... you could see streams of people heading home to sleep, giving the game a foregone conclusion... 1/4 of the crowd in the pub left but the place was still packed!!

2nd half : Gerrad heads in the first goal to satge a comeback! i was jumping up n down hugging frens... then the 2nd in 2 minutes... of all people, it had to come from Vladimir Smicer... for someone who's probably playing his last game for the Reds scored from outside the box... then the final blow ..alonso's rebound of his saved penalty.... the whole place went mad!! My fren and i ran out of the pub onto the streets!!

this is when we started believing to dream... the extra time came... then the penalties... smicer's scored and kissed the badge..that for me, was encouraging... dudek puts aside all criticism and saved from shevchenko... the whole pub erupted!! i went down to my knees.. clutching the flag n scarf... tears streamed... hugged friends...slapped hi-5s with people next to you...going around , complete strangers hugging one another... singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" .. that for me , was emotional.. For peopple who think that soccer is JUST a game... im sorry.. Liverpool Football Club , is not just a team... its not just 20 plus people making big money out of kicking balls... Its already a tradition, a family and they're legends....

p/s : I lost my voice while cheering and singing... and since this is the 5th European Cup thtat we've won... starting from yesterday, I'm wearing a Liverpool apparel everyday for 5 days straight.... of course i change them everyday... one for each cup that they brought back... do pardon me if i sounded way way too passionate

going international

last weekend was pretty good... enjoyed myself..did the unusual... but most importantly, i made new friends...a taiwanese and a malaysian.... yes, bout a month and a half back, befriended a south korean.... i totally enjoy meeting people from different cultural backgrounds.... oh ya, kinda talked to two italians on sunday as well.... they're gonna root for AC Milan... but i guess my favourite reds will disappoint them...
